Fudo, "the Immoveable One". A Buddhist little dude who symbolizes 'firmness of spirit and determination to fight evil'. Also a neo-con nemesis, apparently: he fights greed, anger and ignorance.

This silent movie is on exhibit at the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena. OK, it's not really silent but not a 'talkie' either: all you can hear is the blizzard while gobs of snow try their best to bury passersby.

Crickets -especially this size- are supposed to live old. Your longevity cricket: do not leave home without it!

Note how replete the cat is. I suspect he eats all the dog's food.
