Vancouver: Mixed Feelings

In August, running a bit short on money, we decided that this year the Hawaii vacation would magically morph into a Vancouver discovery trip. Somehow, the kids were not fooled.

Vancouver was certainly a place of contrasts. Polluted, a haven for bums and drug addicts, our first impression wasn’t very good. However, Vancouver also is: a lot of parks, a beautiful bay, a handsome mountain (in winter!), rainforests and wildlife a go-go.
