What would Barney do?

Oh, come on.

Here we go again. My friend Tom Chappell blogs a little something on creationism and some Bible thumper comes running out of the woods to inform him of the equal weight both theories should be given in science class. If you follow the Wikipedia link, please note this bit: “thus either originating from observable facts or supported by them

Anyway, her comments amused me because people fail to realize how much they give away about themselves in writing: first of all, this lady complains about having to “pay twice” for attending a private christian school. Right away, this gives me a good idea of her views on how much separation there should be between Church and State; she goes on to mention the Russians teaching WWII in Eastern Europe, which tells me that the aforementioned school obviously didn’t do a very good job as far as history teaching; for good measure, she also mentions the proverbial ‘’someone else” who dictates what we should learn. My guess is that these bad guys may as well be the universally villified cast called ‘The Intellectuals’.

That’s the trifecta from hell right there. Of course, she then goes on to accuse Tom of bias. I would like to conclude this blog entry on this higly scientific observation: She who smelt it dealt it.
